Comics by Henry Chamberlain: Cicada Double Brood!

And so the great 2024 Cicada Event has begun and will end before you know it. Although, truth to be told, a typical cicada cycle does linger on for a good long while.

The historic  2024 Cicada Event is in full swing! Two broods emerge at once: Brood XIII (Northern Illinois) and Brood XIX (Great Southern). These two broods of 13-year and 17-year cicadas have not emerged together since 1803, more than 220 years ago!

Hang in there, the cicadas don’t mind all the hype.
