The great fantasy artist, Roy G. Krenkel called Jeffrey Catherine Jones, “The Master of the Cryptic Gesture.” Taking a look at his portraits of ethereal women, like the one above, I’d say that’s a good name for him.
There’s a movie on the horizon that explores the world of Jones through interviews with him and with others connected to the world of fantasy and comic books. This will mark the directorial debut of Maria Cabardo who shares many honors, including Creative Director for Wizards of the Coast and Art Director at DC Comics for the Vertigo imprint as well as its Creative Services department.
