Comics Grinder recommends a new show on Nicktoons that has it all: skateboarding teens in NYC who share one big problem that will require a huge leap of faith. You see, one of them is missing their dad. The only way they’re going to find him is to carefully study for clues through the pages of the comic book series he created. And this involves extraterrestrials in a very big way.

Yeah buddy, somebody’s dad is missing. You don’t think these guys are going to do whatever it takes to find him? Of course, they are. Even if their lives turn into something from “The X-Files.”

Press release follows:

ALIENS, COMICS AND SKATEBOARDING?
What More Could You Want from a Friday Night???

Friday nights are no longer just about hanging out with friends with nothing to do. The start of the weekend is now for saving the world from Alien destruction…all from the deck of a skateboard.

Be sure to tune-in to Alien Dawn on Nicktoons this Friday evening at 10:00 PM EST/7:00 PM PST. This brand new show follows the journey of 16-year-old skateboarder Cameron Turner as he attempts to unravel the mystery of his missing father. Hidden in the pages of the animated comic series created by his father, Cameron will uncover clues to his sudden disappearance.
Filmed on-site in New York City, Alien Dawn features sci-fi adventures, great live action characters, outrageous skateboarding tricks, stunning visual effects and striking animation. Friday night just got a whole lot better!
